About Mamoon Reza

Mamoon Reza is the founder of Equitysolar, a social enterprise established to ensure that people in our community who currently lack access to rooftop solar are not left behind in the renewable energy transition. He believes in energy democratization and a distributed, community-based redesign of our energy infrastructure.

He is a proponent of peer-to-peer energy sharing, also known as a Virtual Energy Network (VEN), as a mechanism for removing barriers to renewable energy for people who rent or live in apartments. As a committee member at Pingala Community Energy, he is continually exploring new ways to deliver renewable energy projects that benefit people and the planet by reducing carbon emissions and electricity bills.
